Personal Life Pandit Shekhar Dixit

In accordance with Indian traditions, Shekhar’s marriage was arranged by his parents. He was engaged and married to Abhiruchi Dixit.

She is an extremely supportive wife. Mrs. Dixit has completed graduation in teacher training and is a business-oriented woman.

Shekhar’s wife and family support and motivate him in his political career. Born in a nawabi family in Lucknow, Shekhar shares a strong bond of respect and emotions among his family.

He invests his time in helping his family members in the various household as well as outdoor works. Shekhar maintains a close relationship with his father, Mr. Kailash Chandra Dixit, after the demise of his mother, late Vimlesh Dixit.

He is blessed with a baby boy, Yuvraj who is in his initial schooling.

Dixit has a younger brother Gaurav Dixit and sister Garima Dixit, who is supportive in his political journey and motivates him in social work.

A vegetarian and an active politician, Dixit has a simple lifestyle and is an introvert and workaholic.

Dixit has always tried to bring tribal and environmental issues into the mainstream debate and his interest is in social working and upgrading the lives of farmers and villagers of tribal areas.

Dixit is greatly influenced and considers Mahatma Gandhi as his role model and follow a simple life as Gandhi ji did.

He has taken political mentor ship and guidance from Mr. Vishwanath Pratap Singh (8 presidents of India).

Dixit intends to explain to the world how important is to maintain a balance between the agriculture and economy of a country.

He wants to make his people aware and reassure them that his work is ideologically aligned with them.

Dixit has relied upon his reputation as a politician and social worker able to bring about a significant change and agricultural growth and development in tribal areas of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and several other parts of India.

Nonetheless, his role and contribution in making Kisan Manch reach the National level continue to rise.

In 2012, he was nominated for or the position of state president in Kisan Manch Uttar Pradesh and organized a rally named Kisan Panchayat for sake of farmer’s land. In 2019, he was able to take Kisan Manch to the National level and was elected as President.
